Alaska Humanities Forum's General Grants Program makes possible innovative humanities-based projects across Alaska. Project categories include oral history, media, public meetings & exhibits, research, and planning.
As of 2014, our General Grants Program submission deadline is 10:00 p.m. January 31st annually. All applicants, especially first time applicants are strongly encouraged to submit draft applications by December 15, to be reviewed for feedback by the grants officer.

Applicants are required to read our Grant Guidelines and Information for AKHF Grantees. Also, consider looking over past Grants Awarded to see if your project matches our guidelines and mission. Feel free to contact the grants officer (see contact info below) to consult about possible grant-funded projects.
When you decide your project fits our grants program, you may Proceed to the online application system.
