Leadership Anchorage is Alaska’s premier civic engagement and leadership cultivation program. Participants proceed through ten rigorous, full-day sessions of interviews and group activities, reading and skills-building.

The Rose Urban Rural Exchange is a unique cross-cultural exchange program whose mission is to build understanding between urban and rural Alaskans. The program, now entering its seventh year, aims to strengthen relationships between urban and rural Alaskans by building mutual respect, understanding and a statewide sense of community through cross-cultural exchanges of teachers and sister schools.

Alaska History and Cultural Studies is the new online curriculum designed to teach Alaskan high school students about their state, its rich history and its people. Never before has so much information about Alaska been accessible from one website. The curriculum is designed to meet Alaska’s new Alaska History graduation requirement and related performance standards. The Alaska Humanities Forum and the state’s leading historians, anthropologists, geographers and educators developed the course. It is an authoritative compilation of information and thought provoking questions about the 49th State. |
