Continuous Conversation

Join us for a conversation exploring how culture shapes our understandings of gender and sexuality. This conversation is designed in collaboration with photographer Jenny Irene Miller, the artist behind the "Continuous" exhibit of portraits of Indigenous LGBTQ2 people from around the state.

Community conversations are a space to bring folks together to connect on a topic and guiding question; using toolkits that are a part of the Kindling Conversation Program for the Alaska Humanities Forum. These spaces are welcome to anyone and participation is encouraged but whatever folks want to share or not, is completely up to them!

From 5-6 pm there will be community resources and tabling followed by the community conversation from 6-8 pm!

COVID mitigation:

Wearing masks at in person events will be optional, we trust participants to do what is best for them on an individual level and will continue to have face coverings and hand sanitizer for use on site during the event. If you have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms, please stay home from this event.
