Our Alaska Fellow: Cuckoo Gupta

Cuckoo Gupta is a Public Programming and Marketing Fellow, and the youngest member of our Alaska Humanities family. She was born and brought up in India, and moved to Anchorage after completing her undergraduate studies at Ohio Wesleyan University. If asked where her home is, she replies with a confident, “Columbus, Ohio.” Cuckoo came to the Forum through the Alaska Fellows Program, a near-year-long postgraduate fellowship matching dynamic recent college graduates with organizations in Anchorage, Juneau, and Sitka. Nine Alaskans will be recognized at the Governor’s Arts & Humanities Awards ceremony to be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center (JACC). This celebration will honor artists, educators, journalists, a producer, and a regional commission – Alaskans who have used their craft and passion to enrich our lives; to support, teach, and inspire others; to unite people within and across communities; and to lift up and bring others’ stories to life.
