To our Culture Shifters, Conversationalists, and Community Members,
In light of the ongoing developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and the latest guidance provided by the CDC and the Municipality of Anchorage, we will be postponing and/or modifying upcoming gatherings to be accessible via remote engagement.
We are committed to continuing to provide opportunities for community engagement and conversation, and doing so in a way that supports public health. The list below contains the most up-to-date information on our upcoming scheduled events:
March & April Culture Shift | Cancelled. We hope to resume this monthly program in May (last Wednesday of each month.)
Togetherings | NOW live on KONR-LP 106.1 FM; Also live broadcast on outnorthradio.com. Sunday March 29 at 8 PM - Rage Sunday April 12 at 8 PM - Death Sunday April 19 at 8 PM - Shame The Togetherings are a series of participatory conversations that bring together people from a wide range of perspectives and life experiences to encourage new awareness, challenge assumptions, and encourage new possibilities for our communities. The theme for the first series of Togetherings is taboos and will be held live on Out North Radio. Two people kick-off the dialogue, then the radio listeners can join the conversation live by calling the radio at (907) 222-1061.
During times of crisis, we often find that acts of empathy, meaningful communication, and community support are more important than ever. We have been inspired by the many individuals and groups, both locally and around the world, who are taking preventative steps to ensure that our collective health is a top priority during this time.
We also recognize that now more than ever, it is important to seek moments of joy and connection.
Here at the Forum, we are actively exploring new ways to bring people together in conversation without risking the health of our community. If you have an idea or suggestion for what kind of materials you would like to see from us, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We will continue to provide updates on our website and social media pages regarding the status of upcoming events.
