About Celebrating Leadership

This benefit for the Alaska Humanities Forum celebrates our Leadership Anchorage graduates and uplifts the importance of investing strengthening communities. The event honors the more than 500 graduates of our Leadership Anchorage program and funds generated through this event provide critical support for Leadership Anchorage and other Forum programs. The night promises to be filled with a captivating program, commencement recognition of the LA29 cohort, uplifting music, and delicious food and drink provided by Crush.

Keynote Speaker:

Alexandra McKay, President & CEO, The Alaska Community Foundation

Alexandra “Alex” McKay is a leader dedicated to strengthening Alaska’s communities through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. As President & CEO of The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF), she leads efforts to expand philanthropy and increase statewide impact, working closely with donors, nonprofits, and community leaders.

With more than 20 years of philanthropic experience, Alex has deep expertise in nonprofit partnerships and strategic grantmaking. She previously served as Vice President of Strategies and Impact at the Rasmuson Foundation, Executive Vice President and Chief Counsel for Casey Family Programs, and Deputy Director at the Schultz Family Foundation. Born in Anchorage and an East High School graduate, Alex holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford Law School, and the University of Washington.
